I am Ali Haidar Khan; also known as Tonmoy. I am a Graduate in Business Administration from Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. I knew about Wikipedia in 2004 and started using Wikipedia for educational purpose that time. But I started contributing on Bengali Wikipedia in 2008. Earlier I used my Bengali user name আলী হায়দার খান. However, now I use my English user name Ali Haidar Khan for convenience of working in multiple Wikimedia Foundation projects and it's also my global user name.
I was born and brought up in Dhaka Metropolis - but I am a naturist by heart. So I often go out in search of open air. Mountains and forests attracts me more than anything - so I travel a lot to mountains & forests of Northeast & Southeast region of the country. I am a credit analyst by profession & currently working in a Financial Institution.
